A big change and improvement in the shopping cart
for you as of today. It may look almost identical to the other one, but under
the hood it is absolutely new.
An Absolutely New Shopping Cart
The old one has been an absolute nightmare for a
number of months and the developers have stopped supporting it. (I wonder why?)
There have been orders lost or hidden, totals come out wrong, you couldn't complete
orders and sometimes it has just been flat impossible to navigate.
This is a much more stable and capable package.
It has a number of new features that I plan to take advantage of. These will
be implemented over the coming month.
- Featured Products
I will be highlighting some new and interesting or often missed products that
I think you will enjoy. This will show when you first arrive at the catalog.
- Credit Cards
Coming very soon will be the ability to use credit cards without going through
PayPal. This should make both you and me very happy.
- Store Credits
I will be adding this very soon. It will give me the ability to have the store
keep track of credits for those of you that have them for one reason or another.
These will be applied to your purchase against the total.
- Special Order Tracking
This has been a nightmare for all of us. Too many times, I receive
a special order and ship it off to the manufacturer or supplier and it takes
forever to get in. They may be out. The product may be discontinued. They
may be busy and can't take time to fill the order. I have come very close
to eliminating special ordering completely. I'm hoping that having an enhanced
capability in this area will make things much easier for all concerned.
- Vastly Improved Categories
These have been incomplete
for a long time and will be able to be cleaned up and much more extensive. You want
locomotive engineers, select \"Engineers\". You want tools, select \"Tools\".
Left handed carpenters screw drivers? Select \"Tools\".
And more coming beyond these.
Over the next two weeks I will be adding a number
of new products. All in stock and and some very nice ones. 3 new lines of signs
on paper or decals, several more detail parts lines, some unbelievable tools
in brass and white metal and more.
I have received a number of orders bringing most
of my lines back to full stock. These will be entered over the next week.
